All The Places We Danced (Part of Finale)
During the 2024 Venice Biennale, Bright Moments gallery hosted their 10th and final immersive group show of digital art at the Scuola Grande San Giovanni. Sixty artists were invited to collaborate on an on-chain generative art project titled Finale, with each artist contributing a unique algorithm to be integrated into a single generative system. A total of 1000 artworks from this project were minted onto the Ethereum blockchain, with collectors receiving a randomized output from any of the 60 contained subprojects.
My contribution to the project, All The Places We Danced, was minted a total of 19 times. Each code-based artwork in the series paints a surrealistic scene of cacti dancing, celebrating, and glowing under a setting sun. The forms are inspired by Salvador Dali, while the colors and scenery are borrowed from the work of my mother, Vinita Karim.
